Today was a rainy day on spring break so Lucy and I headed to Cover to Cover Bookstore in Clintonville. After reading some great blogs I was reminded what a great place this is! I had been there in college and as an early elementary teacher but this was my first adventure as a parent. What kid can resist the big red dog Clifford in this store? Lucy was in love at first sight with this cuddly character. I found some great new books for my friend Leslie's new baby. I got Eric Carle's The Very Busy Spider and The Very Hungry Caterpillar.
I also got Duck! Rabbit! by Amy Krouse Rosenthal and John Henry by Julius Lester. I'm excited to share these new reads with my second graders next week. If you are ever in the Clintonville area be sure to visit this great store!
